About the role#
The Admissions Work Study position supports the admissions team with enrollment activities. This role involves helping with outreach events, managing student data, and creating social media content. You will assist counselors with prospective student engagement and answer questions about the admissions process. This is a paid, on-site role designed to help students finance their education while gaining professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Reach out to prospective students and invite them to apply.
- Answer questions regarding the admissions process via phone, text, or email.
- Enter essential test scores, health records, and placement data into the database.
- Provide support for admissions events like Discovery Days and Enrollment Weeks.
- Assist with social media campaigns and routine website updates.
- Perform other administrative projects as assigned by the Senior Associate Director of Admissions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Franklin Cummings Tech with enough credit hours to qualify for the Federal work-study program.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
- A completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other common office tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A reliable, detail-oriented, and organized approach to tasks.
- A positive, professional demeanor and a willingness to learn new digital tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: On-site (minimum of 1 day per week).
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour.
- Status: Temporary, part-time.
- Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available.
