About the role#
Franklin Cummings Tech is seeking a Teaching Lab Assistant Intern for the Biotechnology program during the Fall 2026 semester. This role supports the BI 210 Chemistry Manufacturing and Control course, which meets on Friday afternoons at the Emmanuel College labs. This is a paid position requiring 3 to 6 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist lab managers with material allocation and equipment setup for demonstrations.
- Ensure all students follow proper laboratory safety protocols and notify the instructor of any issues.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and manage the proper storage of materials.
- Provide instructional support to students by explaining concepts and guiding them through laboratory techniques.
- Maintain records related to student attendance and progress.
- Assist the lab instructor with demonstrations and data entry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the Biotechnology Program at Franklin Cummings Tech.
- Successful completion of BI 210.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on an ongoing basis. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.

- The work modality is on-site.
- The term for this internship is Fall 2026, specifically from September 8 through December 14.
