About the role#
This position supports the Circumnutation Studies in Arabidopsis project at Pace University. You will assist with ongoing research experiments, lab maintenance, and data management. The role requires 5-8 hours of work per week during the 2026-2027 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Cultivate and maintain plant health, including germinating, growing, and harvesting.
- Perform daily lab tasks like watering plants, working with soil, and general upkeep.
- Assist with experiments by testing plant movement under different environmental conditions using time-lapse photography.
- Acquire and analyze movie data from experiments.
- Help with the development and maintenance of the lab web page.
What you'll need#
- Current Work Study funding eligibility.
- Enrollment in at least 6 credits and good academic standing.
- Familiarity with basic lab skills such as pipetting, sterilization techniques, weighing, and digital capture.
