About the role#
As a Global Sourcing Intern, you will play a critical role in maintaining the material pipeline that supports our 3D printing technology. You will work alongside engineers to balance cost, quality, and supply reliability while building relationships with global suppliers to expand our manufacturing capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Manage direct communication with current and potential suppliers to ensure a consistent material pipeline.
- Develop strategies to optimize supplier performance regarding cost, quality, and supply resilience.
- Assist in supply chain planning for upcoming product rollouts.
- Conduct market analysis to generate sourcing insights.
What you'll need#
- A technical or engineering background, with preference for majors in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong interest in sourcing, contacting, and evaluating suppliers based on quality, reliability, capacity, and cost.
- Ability to communicate effectively across various teams, both in-person and remotely.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and document progress simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and exposure to project management.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (September – December).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site in Somerville, Massachusetts.
- Compensation: This is a paid, salaried position with a bi-weekly pay range of $1,350 to $1,550 USD.
