About the role#
The Planning Intern assists in the development and implementation of programs and projects that support the strategic initiatives of Nationwide Children's Hospital. You will work directly with your manager to provide recommendations that improve department or business unit outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze data, including running pre-defined queries and formatting reports.
- Compile and build presentation materials to support projects, report data findings, and showcase new initiatives.
- Apply strategic, system-level thinking and operational excellence techniques to solve problems.
- Attend weekly group development sessions and participate in all intern events.
- Perform clerical office coordination and administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in high school or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work within teams and maintain professional composure while managing multiple tasks.
- Sound judgment and the ability to apply logical and critical thought processes.
- A positive presence when interacting with staff, vendors, consultants, and physicians.
- Previous work experience in the medical field is preferred.

- This role is based in Columbus, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
