About the role#
The IS Epic Services Intern supports the development and implementation of programs and projects aligned with the organization's strategic initiatives. This role involves data analysis, reporting, and administrative coordination to assist the department. While this is primarily a remote position, interns are expected to attend occasional onsite meetings and hospital events.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze data to support project goals.
- Run pre-defined queries and format reports.
- Compile and build presentation materials for project showcases and data findings.
- Collaborate with management to provide recommendations for business unit improvements.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
- Attend weekly group development sessions and participate in intern events.
- Apply logical and critical thinking to solve problems at a system level.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in high school or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work within teams and maintain professional composure while managing multiple tasks.
- Sound judgment and the ability to apply logical thought processes to develop solutions.
- Previous work experience in the medical field is preferred.
