About the role#
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Howmet Engines Finance team for the Summer of 2027. This internship provides an opportunity to learn our business processes and develop finance and accounting skills while working as a full member of a project team. You will work alongside leaders and gain exposure to the requirements of a finance professional at a global manufacturing company. Our goal is to evaluate interns for potential entry-level openings.
What you'll do#
- Complete value-add assignments for the Howmet Engines Business Unit, focusing on financial planning and analysis and the financial control environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including in-person and virtual training.
- Attend information sessions and network with Business Unit and Corporate leadership and teams.
- Potentially visit other company locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor degree program in Business or Finance.
- Expected graduation date of Winter 2027, 2028, or Spring 2029.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Involvement in at least one extracurricular activity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through prior internships or educational experiences.
- Aptitude for problem solving and continuous learning.
- Commitment to personal and professional growth and previous experience working as an active team member.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment and take initiative to understand the business.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items.
