About the role#
This internship provides practical experience within the Accounting Department at Canyon AeroConnect. You will support routine accounting tasks, financial analysis, and departmental projects. The role also involves assisting with duty drawback and tariff management by organizing records and reviewing transaction data.
What you'll do#
- Match supplier invoices to receiving documentation and enter data into the Oracle ERP system.
- Assist with weekly accounts payable check runs and process payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements to the accounts payable trial balance.
- Prepare monthly General Ledger account reconciliations and assist with journal entries.
- Help with monthly financial reporting and basic financial analysis.
- Process travel and purchasing card expense reports.
- Maintain petty cash and payment documentation.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Accounting departments to support duty drawback and tariff management.
- Follow company SHE policies and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor or master degree program in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of financial principles.
- Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work across different departments.
- Status as a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 to meet export control requirements.
