About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within a distribution and fulfillment center. You will work directly on the warehouse floor alongside site leadership to learn daily operations across E-commerce, Wholesale, and Retail replenishment. This role is for a goal-oriented individual who enjoys solving problems, setting priorities, and motivating teams in a production-focused environment.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate daily work activities across departments to improve throughput and workflow.
- Identify floor bottlenecks, anticipate problems, and find real-time solutions.
- Ensure floor associates have the tools, training, and support to meet safety and quality standards.
- Inspect work accuracy and output to maintain high standards.
- Track, analyze, and report on production metrics and key performance indicators.
- Support cost control by monitoring daily labor utilization and supply costs.
- Help Operations Managers review trends for performance and attendance data.
- Promote facility safety, ergonomics, and housekeeping.
- Cross-train employees across multiple departments to build team flexibility.
- Foster an inclusive work environment and build strong workplace relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a college degree with an interest in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to multi-task and prioritize under minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support and motivate team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch throughout shifts.
- Ability to reach, push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and physical coordination to operate warehouse equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or box cutters.
