About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on real products and help us build 3D printing technology. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Somerville, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Design, assemble, test, and evaluate the performance of 3D printers.
- Participate in design reviews to solve engineering and manufacturing problems.
- Use CAD skills to create engineering drawings and manage documentation.
- Build prototype components and assemblies using our in-house facilities.
- Assist with vendor and supplier communications to address production challenges.
What you'll need#
- A portfolio of your previous engineering work or projects is required.
- Experience with complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience from lab research, project teams, or previous work.
- A desire to hone your engineering design skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Somerville, MA (On-site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through April).
- Compensation: $1,575 to $1,950 per week, paid bi-weekly.
- This is a paid, full-time internship. We do not provide housing or relocation assistance.
