About the role#
We are looking for a hands-on engineering intern to join our team in Somerville. You will work across disciplines to integrate new features, validate functionality, and test for reliability in our 3D printers. This role requires a full-time commitment during the Winter and Spring of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and run studies to characterize and evaluate 3D printer performance.
- Build test setups to evaluate the reliability of printer subsystems.
- Debug and diagnose issues with electro-mechanical systems.
- Write Python scripts and queries to support reliability and characterization studies.
- Assist in building and commissioning prototypes.
What you'll need#
- A portfolio of your previous engineering work or projects is required for consideration.
- Experience working with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience gained through lab research, project teams, or prior internships.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in Somerville, Massachusetts.
- Term: Winter and Spring 2027 (January through April).
- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time position with a weekly pay range of $1,575 to $1,950. Salary depends on skills, qualifications, and experience.
