About the role#
As a Materials Intern, you will join our team in the materials development lab. You will work on various materials challenges and help us solve new problems in 3D printing. This is a full-time, on-site role for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop, formulate, and test new materials.
- Work directly with the team to experiment with materials that have never been printed with before.
- Solve technical challenges related to 3D printing.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- A background in organic chemistry or plastic engineering.
- Experience with polymers through research or coursework.
- Comfort working in a wet lab environment.
- Familiarity with CAD programs like SolidWorks.
- Basic programming skills in Python.

- Location: Somerville, Massachusetts (on-site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through April).
- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time internship with a weekly pay range of $1,300 to $1,900. No housing or relocation assistance is provided for this role.
