About the role#
Fischer Homes hires Co-Ops and Interns to work alongside experienced professionals in the construction industry. This is a full-time, paid position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with rolling start dates available throughout the year.
What you'll do#
- Support construction Field Managers throughout the new home build process.
- Talk with trade partners, vendors, and customers to provide updates on home progress.
- Complete PACE eLearning courses to build your professional skillset.
- Participate in Sapphire training to learn about scheduling, purchase order management, and warranty service.
- Observe home orientations and complete various job scopes to gain technical knowledge of home construction.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service.
- Capability to work in an environment that requires quick problem-solving.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Location & details#
- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements include walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions. You will be expected to travel to job sites regularly throughout the day and wear required protective gear such as hard hats and steel-toed shoes.
