About the role#
Fischer Homes is hiring an Architectural Design Co-op for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Erlanger, Kentucky. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical training in residential construction and design.
What you'll do#
- Process site specific construction drawings and check them for quality and accuracy.
- Assist with master drawing maintenance using CAD software.
- Help troubleshoot permit questions from plan examiners and resolve field issues.
- Support the schematic design and development process for new home plans.
- Perform updates and revisions to existing home designs.
- Assist with product presentations and work to obtain approvals from developers and local municipalities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
