About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Indianapolis. You will work alongside experienced Field Managers to learn the end-to-end process of building new homes. This role provides hands-on experience in construction management and requires regular travel to various job sites throughout the day.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Managers in overseeing the construction process from start to finish.
- Communicate project progress to trade partners, vendors, and customers.
- Complete PACE eLearning courses to build your technical knowledge.
- Participate in Sapphire training for scheduling, purchase order management, and warranty service administration.
- Observe home orientations and complete various job scopes to gain construction experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle daily interactions with customers and partners.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and solve problems using data.
- Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders.
- Capacity to walk on uneven terrain and construction sites while lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Readiness to work in various weather conditions and wear required protective gear like hard hats and steel-toed shoes.
