About the role#
High Construction is looking for an intern to support our preconstruction, project management, and field management teams. This role exposes you to the various facets of a general contractor by rotating you through each department. It serves as a foundation for potential future roles such as assistant estimator, assistant project manager, or assistant superintendent.
What you'll do#
- Assist the preconstruction team with estimating tasks like bid solicitation, take-offs, and project transitions.
- Help with purchasing duties, including scheduling de-scope meetings, taking minutes, managing subcontractor requests, and preparing A401 scope sheets.
- Support project management by handling submittals, RFIs, documentation, scheduling, and change orders.
- Manage billing processes, such as reviewing subcontractor bills and preparing owner billing documentation.
- Work with the field management team on site inspections, daily logs, and three-week lookahead schedules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program for Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- At least one year of construction experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize job details and work independently.

- This position is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship with a rolling start date.
