About the role#
This co-op provides students with hands-on experience in welding and steel fabrication. You will work on structural steel projects for bridges and transportation infrastructure. This is a full-time, paid opportunity spanning the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Fabricate structural steel for complex bridge and transportation projects.
- Learn to operate tools and equipment used in steel fabrication.
- Read and interpret blueprints and measuring instruments.
- Maintain professional conduct and work effectively within a team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a welding or metal fabrication program.
- Status as a high school or college student.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Ability to learn and use tools, prints, and measuring instruments.
- High school students under 18 must provide proof of enrollment in a CTC or CTE program.
