About the role#
Fischer Homes is seeking a Field Manager Co-op or Intern to join our construction team in Atlanta. This full-time position offers hands-on experience in the home building process. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge of construction operations.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Managers in overseeing the construction of new homes from start to finish.
- Coordinate with trade partners, vendors, and customers regarding project progress.
- Complete PACE eLearning courses to build your technical knowledge.
- Participate in Sapphire training to learn scheduling, purchase order management, and warranty service administration.
- Observe home orientations to understand the final stages of the build process.
- Complete various job scopes to develop a comprehensive understanding of home construction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service.
- Capacity to work in a demanding environment.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and wear required protective gear, including hard hats and steel-toed shoes.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites throughout the day.
