About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern at ISEC, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting Project Managers and Estimators on commercial construction projects. You will contribute to project operations, documentation, and estimating processes while gaining exposure to contract administration, vendor management, and field coordination.
What you'll do#
- Review project specifications to identify shop drawing and submittal requirements.
- Prepare QC-reviewed submittals and transmittals.
- Check returned shop drawings for compliance with project scope and estimates, reporting changes to the Project Manager.
- Create release checklists and delivery schedules for product fabrication.
- Assist with change order requests by gathering vendor quotes and updating labor estimates.
- Prepare Operation and Maintenance manuals and guarantee documents.
- Coordinate with field teams and manage project closeout tasks like punch list generation.
- Maintain weekly project documentation, including Room Status Reports, Outstanding Issues Lists, and meeting agendas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- A self-motivated approach and a willingness to take initiative.

- This role is located in Fulton, Maryland.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The position operates on a rolling term.
