About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern at ISEC, Inc., you will gain hands-on experience by assisting Project Managers and Estimators on commercial construction projects. This role involves contributing to project operations, estimating, and documentation. You will also gain exposure to contract administration, vendor management, field coordination, and construction technology systems.
What you'll do#
- Review project specifications to identify shop drawing and submittal requirements.
- Prepare QC-reviewed submittals and transmittals.
- Check returned shop drawings for compliance with project scope and estimates, then communicate changes to the Project Manager.
- Help prepare release checklists, submittals, and delivery schedules for product fabrication.
- Support change order requests by gathering vendor quotes, updating labor estimates, and creating pricing summaries.
- Create Operation and Maintenance manuals and guarantee documents.
- Participate in project closeout tasks, such as generating punch lists and coordinating with field teams.
- Maintain weekly project documentation, including Room Status Reports, Outstanding Issues Lists, and agendas for staff meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a college or university program, preferably in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- A self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Compensation: 24 to 26 USD per hour.
