About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will join the Private Wealth Advisors team to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry. The program offers exposure to various disciplines including investment management, private banking, and client management.
What you'll do#
- Support the Private Wealth Advisors team with day-to-day business operations.
- Assist with analytics, presentations, projects, and product development.
- Gain exposure to retirement plan services, fiduciary services, and consumer investment services.
- Participate in a coordinated community service project with other interns.
- Network with Executive and Senior Leadership.
- Present a summary of your experience at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time Bachelor or higher degree-seeking student in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration at an accredited university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from May 17th to August 6th, 2027.
- Willingness to travel periodically throughout the First Merchants footprint.
- Strong initiative, enthusiasm, work ethic, self-motivation, and a team mentality.
- A demonstrated interest in the financial services industry.
