About the role#
The Supervision Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York invites undergraduate sophomores to join our Summer Internship program. This 10-week, full-time program provides hands-on experience within a central banking environment. You will work within a specific business function, contributing to our mission of promoting a stable financial system. This is a paid, on-site position based in New York City.
What you'll do#
- Conduct critical financial analysis, research, and writing to support supervisory objectives.
- Participate in onsite evaluations and offsite financial analysis and surveillance of financial institutions.
- Contribute to project-based work assignments within your assigned business area.
- Attend professional development activities and engage with senior leaders to gain insight into the public service and financial services sectors.
- Collaborate with fellow interns and full-time employees across the Bank.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate sophomore status with an expected graduation date between Winter 2028 and Spring 2029.
- A demonstrated interest in economics, public policy, or finance.
- A strong academic record.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and explain complex information.
- An organized and resourceful approach to both independent and team-based work.
- Curiosity and a commitment to critical thinking.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time role.
- Compensation: The position is paid with an annual salary of $65,600 (prorated for the 10-week term).
- Note: Summer housing is not provided.
