About the role#
As a Co-op Student at EXP, you will gain hands-on experience working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals to support project delivery and sustainable design.
What you'll do#
- Assist with water and wastewater treatment process evaluations and design activities.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
- Participate in process modeling, data analysis, and performance assessments.
- Collect, organize, and analyze operational and environmental data.
- Contribute to the development of engineering drawings, specifications, and design packages.
- Support field investigations, site visits, and condition assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver solutions.
- Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- You must be returning to school following the work term.
- Strong interest in water treatment, wastewater treatment, and environmental sustainability.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals related to water and wastewater processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with engineering software or data analysis tools is an asset.
- A valid driver's license is preferred for travel to project sites.
