About the role#
As a university intern within the industrial sector team, you will contribute to various mechanical engineering projects. This is a full-time, paid position based in Sherbrooke for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop industrial mechanical plans and specifications, including piping details, equipment layouts, and ventilation drawings.
- Perform design calculations and assist with the positioning and assembly of equipment components.
- Oversee equipment startup to ensure proper functionality.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to execute project tasks effectively.
- Provide technical support to project engineers and clients.
- Draft and organize project documentation while keeping records updated.
- Conduct site visits to perform surveys for various clients.
- Offer recommendations to ensure efficient operations that meet industry standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software such as Revit, SolidWorks, or Plant3D.
- Intellectual curiosity, rigor, and a strong sense of teamwork.
- An ASP construction safety card is considered an asset.

- Compensation: Between 24.00 and 28.50 dollars per hour, based on the number of internships completed.
