About the role#
We are looking for a Construction Intern to join our Transportation and Infrastructure team in Chicago. This role supports our construction engineering and inspection practice by helping monitor infrastructure projects and maintaining project records.
What you'll do#
- Inspect transportation projects like roadways and bridges to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Monitor construction activities to verify work aligns with plans.
- Document daily progress and write reports on project status.
- Coordinate with project managers to resolve issues found during inspections.
- Enter data and maintain records using project software.
- Support senior engineers and inspectors with various tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience with computer aided drafting and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle tasks with minimal direction.
