About the role#
This 12-16 week internship program provides hands-on experience in a professional strength and conditioning environment. Interns work directly with human performance professionals to gain knowledge in training both individuals and groups. The program focuses on the Exos Methodology, offering educational sessions, practicums, and self-paced learning modules to help prepare students for careers in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to develop and refine coaching skills.
- Shadow and participate in programming for athlete clientele, including youth, collegiate, adult, and professional athletes.
- Develop an understanding of the Exos Methodology through lectures, presentations, and educational sessions.
- Gain practical training on movement skills, applications, and program designs.
- Access opportunities to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
- Receive exposure to performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science applications for client evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Must be in a program that provides course credit for the internship experience.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Passion for working with active and athletic populations.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Alpharetta, Georgia (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- Logistics: Interns are responsible for securing and funding their own housing, travel, food, and transportation.
