Sports Performance Intern

About the role#

Exos is offering a 12-16 week internship program for students interested in human performance. This on-site opportunity in Alpharetta, Georgia, requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and is designed to provide practical experience in a professional strength and conditioning environment. Please note that this is an unpaid internship and participants are responsible for their own housing, travel, and living expenses.

What you'll do#

• Learn from human performance professionals to develop and refine coaching skills.
• Shadow and participate in programming for a diverse athlete clientele, ranging from youth to professional levels.
• Develop an understanding of the Exos Methodology through weekly educational sessions, lectures, and practicums.
• Receive practical training on movement skills, application, and program design.
• Complete self-paced learning modules.
• Gain exposure to sports-specific training, performance nutrition, physical therapy, and client evaluation techniques.
• Have the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
• Must be in a program that provides course credit for the internship.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Passion for working with active and athletic populations.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
