About the role#
Exos is offering a 12-16 week internship program at our Performance Center in Plano, Texas. This program is designed for students seeking to gain experience in a professional strength and conditioning environment. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to develop and refine your coaching skills.
- Shadow, observe, and participate in programming for athlete clientele, including youth, adult, collegiate, elite, and professional athletes.
- Develop an understanding of the Exos Methodology through weekly lectures, presentations, practicums, practical training, and self-paced learning modules.
- Gain exposure to sports-specific training methods, performance nutrition, physical therapy, and the use of sport science for client evaluations.
- Engage with the NFL Combine preparation program.
- Have the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Ability to receive course credit for the internship, as this position is unpaid.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Passion for working with the active and athletic population.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Plano, Texas (On-site).
- Term: Winter 2026.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- Logistics: Interns are responsible for securing and funding their own housing, travel, relocation, food, and transportation costs. Confirmation of course credit through a school advisor is required.
