About the role#
Exos offers a 12-16 week learning-intensive internship program at our Performance Center in Plano, TX. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a strength and conditioning environment, working with a diverse clientele ranging from youth and adult populations to collegiate, elite, and professional athletes. Interns are expected to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Develop and refine coaching skills under the guidance of human performance professionals.
- Shadow, observe, and participate in programming and services for athlete clientele.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the Exos Methodology through weekly lectures, presentations, practicums, practical training, and self-paced learning modules.
- Engage with the NFL Combine preparation program.
- Gain exposure to sports-specific training methods, performance nutrition, physical therapy, and client evaluation techniques.
- Have the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in fields such as kinesiology, nutrition, biomedical sciences, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Must be in a program that accepts course credit for this internship, as this position is unpaid.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or the ability to obtain them during the application process).
- A passion for working with the active and athletic population.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2026 (Spring semester).
- Interns are responsible for securing and funding their own housing, travel, relocation, food, and transportation costs.
