About the role#
This internship is a mentorship program for people preparing to enter the professional personal training field. It is designed for career changers, recent graduates, and newly certified trainers who want to gain practical experience in a private, one-on-one training environment. Successful completion of the program may lead to consideration for a personal training position at this studio.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced trainers during private client sessions.
- Practice movement assessments and exercise selection under supervision.
- Develop skills in exercise progression, regression, cueing, and adapting workouts to individual client needs.
- Complete structured assignments and client case studies that connect coaching theory to real-world application.
- Complete a final coaching capstone and career readiness evaluation.
What you'll need#
- A college degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Health Science, or a related field.
- Professional experience in coaching, teaching, healthcare, hospitality, customer service, or leadership.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate professionally with an adult clientele.
- Availability to commit 10 to 20 hours per week.
