About the role#
This is a 12-16 week internship program based on-site at our Performance Center in Plano, Texas. You will work in a strength and conditioning environment, training both individuals and groups. This role requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and is unpaid. You must secure your own housing, travel, and living expenses.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to refine your coaching skills.
- Shadow, observe, and participate in programming for youth, adult, collegiate, and professional athletes.
- Develop an understanding of the Exos Methodology through lectures, presentations, and practicums.
- Receive practical training on linear and multi-directional movement skills and program design.
- Complete self-paced learning modules.
- Gain exposure to sports specific training methods, performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science for client evaluations.
- Engage with the NFL Combine preparation program.
- Earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in kinesiology, sport science, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Current enrollment in a program that provides course credit for this internship.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
- A strong interest in working with the athletic population.
