About the role#
This is a 12-16 week internship program based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It requires a minimum of 20 hours per week on-site at our Performance Center. This program is unpaid and requires you to receive course credit through your university. You are responsible for your own housing, travel, and living expenses.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to refine your coaching skills.
- Shadow, observe, and participate in programming for youth, adult, collegiate, and professional athletes.
- Build an understanding of the Exos Methodology through lectures, presentations, and practicums.
- Gain practical training in linear and multi-directional movement skills, application, and program design.
- Complete self-paced learning modules.
- Engage with the NFL Combine preparation program.
- Gain exposure to performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science for client evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Ability to receive course credit for this internship.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
- A strong interest in working with active and athletic populations.
