Sports Performance Intern

About the role#

Exos is offering a 12-16 week, learning-intensive internship program at our Performance Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires a minimum of 20 hours per week on-site. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional strength and conditioning environment, working with a diverse clientele ranging from youth and collegiate athletes to elite professionals.

What you'll do#

• Learn from human performance professionals to refine your coaching skills.
• Shadow, observe, and participate in the delivery of programming and services.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the Exos Methodology through lectures, presentations, and practicums.
• Gain practical training in developing linear and multi-directional movement skills and program design.
• Engage in self-paced learning modules.
• Gain exposure to performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science applications.
• Earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, exercise science, or related fields.
• Must be in a program that accepts course credit in exchange for this internship experience.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• A passion for working with active and athletic populations.
• Eligibility to work in the USA.

• Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Participants are responsible for securing and funding their own housing, travel, relocation, food, and transportation costs.
