About the role#
Exos offers a 12-16 week internship program at our Performance Center in Plano, Texas. This is an unpaid, on-site role requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week. The program focuses on providing education and hands-on experience within a strength and conditioning environment, working with a diverse clientele ranging from youth to professional athletes.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to refine your coaching skills.
- Shadow, observe, and participate in programming and services for athlete clientele.
- Develop an understanding of the Exos Methodology through weekly educational sessions, lectures, presentations, and practicums.
- Gain practical training on developing movement skills and program designs.
- Engage in self-paced learning modules.
- Access opportunities to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
- Receive exposure to performance nutrition, physical therapy, and sport science applications for client evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Ability to receive course credit in exchange for this internship.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Passion for working with the active and athletic population.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
