About the role#
We are looking for a Laboratory Intern to join our team in Greenville, North Carolina. In this role, you will work under the guidance of a mentor to support laboratory operations and maintain data accuracy. This is a paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Maintain data integrity and follow documentation practices during experiments.
- Compare laboratory data against specifications to check for compliance.
- Ensure the proper usage, care, and return of calibration standards, including reference standards, timers, thermometers, and instrumentation.
- Follow method instructions and internal Standard Operating Procedures to maintain accuracy and avoid deviations.
- Enter data into established reports, templates, or software-based systems.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- You must live within 50 miles of the Greenville, North Carolina site.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenville, North Carolina (100% on-site).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm.
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week, worked in four-hour blocks.
- Employment type: Part-time, rolling term.
