About the role#
As a Manufacturing Scientist or Technical Services Intern at the Elanco Technology Center, you will join the Technical Services Manufacturing Sciences Lab team for the summer of 2027. This project-based role focuses on delivering practical solutions to reduce analytical variability, supporting manufacturing technical projects, or implementing new laboratory methods. You will gain exposure to various career paths and work alongside subject matter experts on projects that impact the broader network.
What you'll do#
- Gain an understanding of the animal health manufacturing process and the role of the Quality Unit.
- Document your work using GMP guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process or quality control laboratory improvements.
- Learn about fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or quality control.
- Study design improvement processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Biology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
- A willingness to learn.

- This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Elanco Technology Center.
- The role is on-site and full-time for the summer 2027 term.
- This is a paid internship.
