About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at the Elanco manufacturing plant in Elwood, Kansas, you will join our engineering team for the summer of 2027. This is a project-based role focused on operational excellence, solving business challenges, and improving manufacturing processes. You will work on-site and participate in a program that includes networking events, assigned mentors, and professional development resources.
What you'll do#
- Learn the manufacturing environment and work with stakeholders to solve problems.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to build vendor relationships and implement new process capabilities.
- Create and use data visualization tools.
- Update technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering major, such as Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
- Experience using Microsoft Suites.
- A willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Elwood, Kansas.
- The internship runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role requires 10% travel to our corporate facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the start and end of the program.
- We provide financial support and assistance with securing housing.
