About the role#
HealthFitness offers internship opportunities for students to complete their university requirements. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate and community settings. You will gain exposure to daily fitness operations and contribute to the health and wellness of our members.
What you'll do#
- Provide supervision and guidance to facility members.
- Perform fitness evaluations and prescribe exercise programs for clients.
- Compile participation data and complete necessary reports.
- Develop and implement special fitness programs or events.
- Assist with the marketing of programs through various channels.
- Help staff with day-to-day office duties and attend scheduled meetings.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior level student pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Strong communication skills to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- A Personal Training or Group Exercise certification is a plus.
