About the role#
This co-op position offers hands-on experience within the Engineering Capital Projects team at Eversource Energy. You will work on the design and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems. The role focuses on high voltage substations, project management, and the coordination of technical matters. You will work alongside experienced engineers and other students in a supportive environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior engineering staff to manage engineering disciplines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and other teams on major projects.
- Partner with a lead engineer or manager to coordinate project efforts.
- Track and follow up on action items for engineering disciplines.
- Create technical and progress reports to update project status.
- Participate in emergency restoration assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E., or a related energy engineering master's program.
- An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, though Civil and Mechanical Engineering students will be considered.
- An interest in energy delivery networks, heavy infrastructure, or renewable energy.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and contribute new ideas.
- A willingness to learn quickly.
