About the role#
We are looking for students to join our Accounting team for a summer internship. You will work with financial data for our regulated and non-regulated system companies. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of SEC, Federal Regulatory Commission, and state regulatory filings.
- Review and analyze month-end financial statements and reports.
- Participate in the monthly accounting closing cycle, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Develop corporate cost loading rates.
- Research accounting issues as they arise.
- Participate in emergency restoration assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Preference is given to students who have completed their junior year.
- Knowledge of accounting theory.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Word.
- A strong interest in learning and applying computer applications.
- Excellent communication, judgment, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
