About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Technology/IT Operations and AI Automation team. You will work within our cellular networking services business to develop tools and automation solutions. This role focuses on improving RAN deployment, engineering, construction, and operational workflows. You will collaborate with technical and business teams to identify manual processes, document requirements, and prototype solutions that increase efficiency and data quality.
What you'll do#
- Identify automation opportunities by working with RAN engineering, construction, field operations, and project management teams.
- Document current workflows, data sources, and bottlenecks.
- Develop and enhance scripts, applications, dashboards, and automation frameworks.
- Prototype AI-assisted solutions for document processing, reporting, data validation, and knowledge retrieval.
- Automate repetitive tasks such as data entry, file organization, status reporting, and system updates.
- Integrate internal tools and third-party platforms using APIs and databases.
- Clean, organize, and validate operational data for reporting.
- Perform functional, integration, and user-acceptance testing.
- Document system designs, code, and operating procedures.
- Monitor deployed solutions and recommend performance improvements.
- Collect user feedback to refine tools and improve business value.
- Maintain project trackers and prepare progress reports.
- Follow requirements for cybersecurity, data privacy, and responsible AI use.
- Escalate technical risks and data-quality concerns to team leads.
What you'll need#
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, or basic programming like Python and scripting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Comfort learning telecommunications concepts and technical tools.
- Familiarity with project management, data analysis, or IT operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, RAN architecture, and network deployment.
- Understanding of RF principles, network optimization, and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with construction project workflows and site logistics.
- Experience with project management tools and automation frameworks.
