About the role#
This is a 12-week internship based in Plano, Texas, starting May 25, 2027. You will join the Service Delivery team to support the monitoring and maintenance of telecom network services. You will work alongside engineers to ensure network performance meets service level targets while gaining exposure to large-scale infrastructure operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop automation for maintenance tasks using Python, Linux Bash scripting, Groovy, and Java.
- Build Artificial Intelligence use cases to shift operations from reactive to predictive models.
- Monitor network alarms and events, classifying and escalating issues to the appropriate teams.
- Track incident tickets, document updates, and assist with troubleshooting.
- Analyze logs, alarms, and performance metrics to identify potential service issues.
- Assist with remote access activities and change management processes.
- Contribute to process documentation, playbooks, and dashboard improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Telecommunications.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP, TCP/UDP, DNS, and routing basics.
- Experience with Python, Linux Bash scripting, Groovy, and Java.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and authentication methods.
- Ability to document findings clearly and communicate effectively within a team.
