About the role#
The Fleet Allocation Specialist intern supports the corporate headquarters in Columbia, MO, by managing equipment distribution and logistics. This role focuses on maintaining inventory levels across branches and building professional relationships with manufacturers to support company growth.
What you'll do#
- Allocate equipment from open orders to specific branch locations to support organic growth and new branch openings.
- Coordinate logistics for shipments by interacting directly with suppliers to ensure order accuracy.
- Respond to local and regional requests for new fleet assets.
- Collaborate with Regional Fleet Managers and local branch teams to manage upcoming and existing inventory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing equipment manufacturers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program, ideally in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science, or Agriculture.
- Strong drive and the ability to make intelligent, decisive choices.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in data analytics and how data informs business decisions.
- Knowledge of the construction or agricultural industries.
