Intern: Uptime Management Center

About the role#

EquipmentShare is seeking a student intern for the Uptime Management Center in Columbia, Missouri, for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, paid position focuses on leveraging telematics and performance data to support the reliability of construction equipment. Interns will work on-site at the company headquarters, contributing to predictive maintenance initiatives and data-driven operational strategies.

What you'll do#

• Monitor telematics and equipment performance data to identify trends.
• Analyze equipment uptime and downtime patterns.
• Maintain dashboards and generate recurring reports for leadership and operations teams.
• Conduct data cleaning, validation, and quality checks.
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance analytics projects.
• Identify anomalies that may indicate specific maintenance needs.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with Python or R through coursework or projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in predictive analytics, reliability engineering, or operations.
