About the role#
We are looking for a senior level or graduate student to join our Accounting team in Columbia, Missouri. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term. You will work on-site at our headquarters while gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting and operations.
What you'll do#
- Shadow members of the Accounting and Financial Reporting team to learn daily operations.
- Assist with accounting research, journal entries, data entry, and maintaining financial records.
- Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage and report data.
- Reconcile accounts and support month-end closing tasks.
- Prepare financial reports, trend analysis, and peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows for key business functions, including systems, risks, and internal controls.
- Take on additional projects to support the growth of the company.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- A positive attitude and a desire to take on new challenges.
