About the role#
As a Treasury Analyst intern, you will support the bank's nominee broker deposit issuances. You will handle pricing, payments, and GIC life-cycle events while assisting with daily treasury operations and ad-hoc analysis. This position reports to the Senior Treasury Manager and provides an opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in treasury operations.
What you'll do#
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly GIC operational tasks, including origination monitoring and journal entries.
- Maintain resilient operations through effective controls.
- Optimize and re-engineer existing processes to simplify operations.
- Manage day-to-day cash and investment operations by working with stakeholders to stay within risk limits.
- Act as a backup for other treasury processes handled by team members.
- Execute ad-hoc initiatives and analytical projects.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of banking products, specifically loans and deposits.
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with reconciliations.
- Ability to break down and simplify complex processes.
- Exposure to capital markets and the valuation of fixed income securities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
- The role is hybrid, based in Toronto, Ontario.
- In-office work will take place at our office at 2200-25 Ontario Street.
