About the role#
La Caisse is hiring for a pool of quantitative finance internships for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship lasting four months from May to August. You will work alongside experts to contribute to real organizational projects and gain hands-on experience in the financial sector.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantitative and financial analyses to evaluate portfolio performance, risks, and exposures.
- Develop, automate, and improve tools and models for risk measurement, return forecasting, and portfolio construction.
- Conduct backtests, simulations, and performance analyses.
- Analyze market trends and assess their impact on investment strategies and portfolios.
- Validate data and consolidate analytical results to share recommendations with stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master program in quantitative finance, financial engineering, business intelligence, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with tools such as Python, MatLab, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Bloomberg, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Previous experience in finance, such as internships, student investment funds, or academic competitions.
- Excellent command of French, with good English skills required for specific roles.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Montreal, Quebec.
- Work is performed in a hybrid format, combining office time and remote work.
- Candidates must be available to work full-time (35 hours per week) and hold the necessary legal authorization to work in Canada.
