About the role#
La Caisse is seeking a student for a Winter 2027 internship within the Financial Product Modeling team. This role focuses on the modeling, integration, and valuation of financial products. You will work alongside the Operational Performance team to develop custom portfolio tracking solutions and interact with various internal departments. This is a full-time, paid position based in Montreal.
What you'll do#
- Design, model, and integrate financial products into operational and analytical chains.
- Participate in business initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Monitor market trends related to financial product modeling and design.
- Manage product integration inventories and document valuation protocols.
- Propose recommendations and validate results for analytical tools, new products, and sensitivity measurement models.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in financial engineering, mathematics, finance, computer science, statistics, or business administration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Matlab.
- Excellent command of French and a good working knowledge of English.
- Strong sense of initiative, autonomy, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI or Streamlit is an asset.
- Experience with financial market software such as Bloomberg or Murex is an asset.
