About the role#
La Caisse is looking for a quantitative analysis intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the external management team, which invests in traditional and alternative strategies to generate value. This role focuses on developing quantitative tools and analyses related to manager selection, portfolio construction, performance, and risk management across multiple asset classes.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test new tools or methodologies.
- Conduct academic literature reviews.
- Review the robustness of internal model implementations.
- Document the tools you develop.
What you'll need#
- Graduate or postgraduate studies in financial engineering, quantitative finance, mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency with tools such as SQL, C++, Matlab, VBA, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Excellent command of French and a good working knowledge of English, as you will regularly use English-language documentation like market reports and financial statements.
- A proactive mindset, analytical skills, and a desire to learn.
