About the role#
As a Modern Workplace Analyst Intern, you will join the Infrastructure and Operations team to support and improve the user experience across the bank's endpoints, including laptops, mobile devices, and cloud solutions. You will focus on streamlining service delivery and enhancing end-user experiences while collaborating with stakeholders to implement the Digital Workspace Strategy.
What you'll do#
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing physical endpoints using Intune and Autopilot.
- Help configure, deploy, and maintain the Azure Virtual Desktop environment.
- Monitor endpoint performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Automate routine tasks and processes using workflows, ITSM platforms, or scripting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create policies, processes, and application deployments.
- Support the management of Nerdio, workspaces, and auto-scaling for resource efficiency.
- Deploy Microsoft and third-party updates to active endpoints and participate in building co-managed Windows 11 environments.
- Partner with the Cyber Defense Centre to configure endpoint management policies and maintain security configurations.
- Assist with patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance efforts.
- Serve as a point of escalation for endpoint support and troubleshooting.
- Test and deploy new hardware, software, and configuration changes following change management protocols.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant IT field.
- Basic understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop implementation and support.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with patching tools such as Qualys.
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS, MS Office applications, and endpoint management tools.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Mobility and Security services, Microsoft Azure, and AAD.
- Understanding of ITIL v4 principles and experience with Asset Management systems.
- Basic experience with Intune policies, CIS hardening tools, and Azure AD Connect.
- Knowledge of security and compliance services such as Microsoft 365 Defender.
- Basic understanding of application packaging.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
