About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position based in Marshalltown, Iowa. You will work on-site for an 8-month term during Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027. This role involves hands-on testing, data analysis, and collaboration with design and engineering teams to support process control instruments and control valves.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute test plans alongside internal design teams and external customers.
- Assemble test units, install measurement instrumentation, and configure data acquisition systems.
- Evaluate experimental data to produce engineering reports with clear analysis and recommendations.
- Use automated systems including LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, DeltaV, VBA, or Python for process automation and data analysis.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for test technology.
- Update company-wide standards and internal web pages.
- Work in an agile team environment to conduct testing safely and efficiently.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Completion of Statics, Fluids, and Mechanics of Materials courses.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in-person.
- Comfort working with high pressure, power tools, and analytical instruments.
- Preference for Junior or Senior standing with a 2.75 GPA or higher.
- Hands-on mechanical experience and interest in fluid dynamics or acoustics.
