About the role#
This Operations Engineering Co-Op position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in project management and problem solving within a manufacturing environment. You will divide your time between office-based tasks and the production floor while working on both individual assignments and team-based projects.
What you'll do#
- Complete design projects, write work instructions, and prepare quality alerts or change requests.
- Create drawings for tooling and fixtures.
- Develop and implement solutions to address safety, quality, and production challenges.
- Update value stream maps and shop floor layouts while performing time studies.
- Participate in kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct data analysis, process documentation, and manufacturing audits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Junior or senior standing.
- Direct experience with AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- A self-motivated, disciplined, and safety-conscious approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
